Freer interprovincial trade in meat?

According to Meat Trade News Daily (yes, I read 'em all) one of the results of all the Agriculture Ministers' meeting in Saskatoon was a pledge toward creating pilot projects toward freer interprovincial trade in meat. Basically getting something figured out so that provincially inspected abattoirs can sell their meat interprovincially.

On first blush, I'm not so certain I like this idea...
